Traveling from Chiang Mai to Studio Chiangdao Blue

There are three ways to travel from Chiang Mai to Studio Chiangdao Blue: by bus, van (reservation required), or orange truck (songthaew).

All three modes of transportation depart from "Chang Puak Bus Station" and head towards "Chiang Dao Bus Station."

Distance: 70 km / Time: 90 minutes

Chang Puak Bus Station sometimes referred to as terminal-1 is the local bus servicing the Chiang Mai Province. It should not be confused with "Arcade Bus Station" sometimes known as terminal-2 and terminal-3. Chang Puak Bus Station is situated just 600 meters north of the Chang Puak Gate to the old city.

- Large orange bus.

- Destination sign reads, “Chiangmai - Thaton.”

- Buses depart hourly.

- Assigned seating upon ticket purchase.

- Fares are 46 Baht per person : air-conditioned buses are 83 Baht per person (as of September 2024).

2 . Van

- White van.

- Destination sign reads, “Chiangmai - Fang.”

- Vans depart hourly.

- 7:00 am - 17:00 pm

- Fare is 190 Baht per person.

3 . Truck (songthaew)

- Orange truck.

- Destination sign reads, “Chiang Mai - Fang"

(Thai: เชียงใหม่ - ฝาง).

- Trucks depart every 30 minutes.

- 6:15 am - 18:00 pm

- Primarily for cargo, but also carries passengers.

- Fare is 45 Baht (as of Sep. 2024).

** A notable feature of this truck is that it can also transport your rented motorcycle along with you. The motorcycle is carried either in the truck's bed or on its roof. The cost ranges from 250 - 300 Baht.　(Please inquire about the cost with the driver.)
